  • Notes 
    • He came to Chicago in January 1876. He formed a partnership in the brokerage firm of Counselman and Day in 1883. In 1889 they moved to Lake Forest, residing at 1 Stone Gate, where he built a gate comprised of a central arch and two side panels. In 1901 he retired but in 1905 became President of Presbyterian Hospital of Chicago. [1]
