- Following their marriage, Edward and Prudence lived in the parish of St. Lawrence Jewry, London, where he was a grocer, and afterwards at Tanworth, Warwick. They left for American about 1637, settling first at Lynn, and afterwards at Rumney Marsh (now Chelsea). Edward served as the New England agent for Lord Brooke. He was appointed Associate Judge of the Salem Court in 1639, and reappointed in 1640, 41, and 42. He served as Deputy to the General court for Lynn in 1639-43, 1647-48, and as Deputy for Springfield in 1650.
