  Thomas was the son of Shaw and Hannah (Drummond) Young, natives of Norwalk, Conn. Mrs. Young lived to be 102 years of age. His grandfather, William Young, was from Northeast, CT and his grandmother was from Cape Cod and was of old Puritan stock.
