• Notes

  He was taken prisoner by the Indians that burnt Royalton, VT on 17 Oct 1780, and with other captives was placed in a prison on an island in the rapids above Montreal, from which he made his escape. In 1818 he published in Montpelier, a narrative of his adventures.
