- Clifton worked at a variety of jobs in his life. He was a fireman on the Montpelier Fire Dept., a US Marine during WWII, gas station attendant both in Montpelier VT and NH, dairy inspector for the VT Dept of Agriculture, and worked a few years part time in the Engineering Dept. at Norwich University in Northfield, VT. He enjoyed fly fishing with his buddies, fishing trips to Canada, and his grandchildren.
